What is known as «Vasenilla» gives its name to a deep depression with very sloping walls, located above the sea on the town’s coast. This formation is a magnificent example of a collapse sinkhole, typical of limestone terrain.
It is located a few meters from the Moraig Falla, to the left of the path that leads to it. The sinkhole, which preserves numerous large fallen blocks inside, has a circular morphology with vertical walls and is currently connected to the sea, although it has not yet been captured by it. When this happens, an inlet will form in the cliff face in which a small cove will develop (collapse sinkholes are one of the causes of cove formation).
