Agriculture and native vegetation. All around us, we can see a rugged surface in which native agriculture and vegetation is based, that we must highlight, and above all, preserve. This is an irrigated Valencian garden area, in which almond and vine crops have historically stood out, as well as the present orange trees. But let’s stop at the vineyard.
The Muscatel grape is a special fruit, sweet and with an elegant flavor, from which the Muscatel wine is produced. So we should highlight the local project Bio Muscatel. This project tries to transform the cultivation into a totally ecological production. The vegetation includes rosemary, esparto grass and lavender, among others.
It is also easy to find young Aleppo pines and other trees, such as carob, fig and olive trees. The proximity of the sea influences in the shape and foliage of some species. Apart from this, we will find other species, such as the Mediterranean dwarf palm, magarull, the albada, the gorse, the thyme, the ephedra, the honeysuckle, the carnation of Valencian bell, a very rare and endemic species of the area.
